What the assistant has to do
Answering questions from your material is the foundation. Looking up orders, booking times or creating tickets needs connections and more work.
Guide
The price of an AI chatbot depends less on the chat itself and more on what it has to handle. A widget that answers questions about opening hours is one thing. An assistant that looks up orders, starts returns and hands over to the right person is another. Here we go through what drives the price, so you can compare offers on equal terms.
01Short answer
At Kodivo an AI assistant costs from SEK 3,900 a month, excl. VAT. We set the exact price after a short demo, once we know what the assistant needs to handle at your company. We handle the installation, and following up the conversations is part of the service.
Other providers price in different ways. Some charge per conversation or per message, others a fixed monthly fee, and some have a set-up fee for building the assistant. Always ask what is included, so you are comparing like with like.
02What affects it
Answering questions from your material is the foundation. Looking up orders, booking times or creating tickets needs connections and more work.
Every system the assistant has to reach, such as your store, ticketing or CRM, has to be connected, tested and followed up.
Price lists, terms and FAQs have to be read in and kept up to date. The more scattered the material, the more work before launch.
A simple widget in the corner takes less work than one that shows details from your systems and suggests the next step. See the three levels.
A chatbot nobody follows up never gets better than it was on day one. Ask whether follow-up is included or costs extra.
03Build it yourself
This is the biggest difference between the offers on the market, and it rarely shows in the price list.
Often a lower monthly cost. You spend the time yourselves writing in material, building flows and following up what it answers.
A higher monthly cost, but someone else builds, connects and follows up. You spend your time on what the assistant hands over.
04Forgotten costs
Material has to be produced and kept up to date, and someone has to read the conversations. Count that time even when the service is cheap.
Some connections need a plan in the other system that allows API access.
If confirmations are sent as text messages, each one costs something with the SMS provider.
Ask how long the contract runs and what happens to the conversations and material when it ends.
05Do the maths
Start with how many questions come in each week that have an answer already written down somewhere. Multiply by how long each answer takes and what that time costs. That is the time the assistant can take over.
Then add what is harder to count: questions that come in during evenings and weekends, when nobody answers, and customers who leave the page instead of waiting. At Micki of Sweden the conversations were spread across the whole day, evenings and weekends included.
What finally decides whether the assistant is worth its price is the share of conversations it resolves without anyone at your end having to step in. We go through that figure with you every month.
06FAQ
Several platforms have free tiers, usually with a limited number of conversations and no connections to your systems. They are fine for testing, less often for a store with real orders.
Because two assistants rarely do the same thing. The price starts at SEK 3,900 a month excl. VAT and is set after the demo, once we know what the assistant needs to handle.
Producing the material, testing the assistant before launch and answering what it hands over. We follow up the conversations together every month.

In a short demo we show how an AI assistant can answer your customers' questions, using your own material. It takes a quarter of an hour. From SEK 3,900 a month excl. VAT, with the exact price set after the demo.
